Killed It!

I wasn't going to post tonight but... Went to church this morning and met Amber there.  This guy that was in the chair behind the one Amber saved for me was like, "You can't sit there, I won't be able to see over you!"  Then he laughed, gave me an awkward pat on the shoulder like it was all just a joke.  Sad thing is that I believe that is really how he felt deep down inside...why else would he say it?  He doesn't know me, we're not pals so...I don't know.  I didn't try and hunch over for him either so I guess that makes me a jerk too.  Dad and mom had a big day out at the farm so they didn't go with us.  It was a pretty good service.  Still trying to figure out the analogy of "prayer shouldn't be your 911 call when things go bad...it should be like your spare tire in your trunk."  Umm....isn't the spare tire in the trunk in case things go badly?  Who thinks about the spare tire at any other moment other than when you get ...

Oh Crap!

I had a rare Monday off today. Woke up this morning and my eye was swollen.  Not shut but it still looked like someone punched me. Not sure what it is but I think something is in there. I opted to buy some eye drops instead of going to the doctor. I will know in the morning if that was a good idea or not. Seems to be doing better. Went into town this morning to a meeting then came home and tooled around some. As nerdy as it sounds, I partitioned a hard drive. Yeah fun. The absolute highlight of my day was a phone call from Cory, one of my best friends. I almost did not answer because I didn't recognize the number. I'm so glad I answered though. I have not heard his voice in about eight years. We only got to talk for fifteen minutes but it was awesome to chat with him and hear that he is doing well. The baby chicks in the incubator are hatching. So far we have three. I met mom and dad at the new Zaxbys in Morehead City. I think it was opening day for them. It was my first time ...

Rrrrrrrrrraaaaaaahhhh!

ROAR!  These cool little dinos were on display at Tractor Supply.  Of course I had to snap a quick photo of them.  Dad, mom and I drove in to pick some things up for the farm last night.  Afterwards, it was a Hardee's milkshake for dad and I.   Tonight, we had chicken fajitas.  Or just chicken tacos...I'm not sure.  But I do know this, they were very tasty.  I fired up the grill in the back yard and threw some chicken tenders on there, seasoned with some salt, pepper and a splash of lemon and lime juice.  Dad and I watched another episode of Iron Fist on Netflix and then watched Doctor Strange.  What an awesome movie, I really enjoyed it.  Gotta be in to work at 8:30 tomorrow morning so I'm gonna call it a night.
