A Hard Day's Night

For those of you who subscribe by e-mail, I'm sure you have appreciated me not blowing up your mailbox for the last few days.  I've been working like whoa...like, Friday night I didn't leave work until 1:15 A.M. and by the time I got home, showered and charged, I didn't hit the mattress until 2:30.  I appreciate the hours, I hit 45 last week and I'm gonna push 40 this week, but it has worn me out.  I'm up so late that I usually sleep until 9 or 10 the next morning.  I don't like this schedule too much because it's messing up my sleep patterns.  Plus, by the time I get up and get going, I can't really get out to the farm to help mom with chores because she is nearly done by then.

I made it out to the flea market today.  Sadly, everyone else's junk was just that...junk.  No gems or diamonds in the rough today.  The weather was beautiful though and there were a lot of vendors and lookers too.  Since I hadn't been to the Beaufort Farmer's Market yet, I shot over that way.  That was a cool little set up they have there.  Lots of cool stuff for sale - fresh veggies, eggs, meat, sea food, arts and crafts, kettle corn and the like.  I ran into Bumper's grandmother.  She is just the sweetest lady.  She updated me on Stacy and we talked a little bit about the alpacas.  I still hope to get some photo time with the cute little booger.

After strolling the market, I hit Front Street and ran into my neighbor's son Anthony.  I didn't recognize him at first but we chatted it up a little bit.  He is enjoying Virginia much better than he was Alaska.  They were all there for a wedding reception at Clawson's.  His wife's sister had just gotten married so...congrats Anthony's wife's sister!

Work was sort of fun tonight.  I got hammered on the fryers but we had a great crew on so it made up for it.  Lot's of laughs and jokes and plenty of Hat Crew Karaoke.  I actually got out of there at 11:00 tonight, which is amazing for a Saturday night.  We got it handed to us last night because of the high school graduations so it was nice to have a little bit of a break.

I missed Throw Back Thursday so I'm doing it now.  Plus I hope to have my shirt done tomorrow but it's likely going to be done Monday.  Life is good, God is greater.  Later Days!

Yea yea, there's a story.  Donna, Jason and I took the kids to the NC Zoo.  Shane tagged along, which I wasn't down for but I didn't have a choice.  I can't exactly remember what the sign said, but it said, "Lucky wants..." something.  I decided to let Lucky get lucky so we made out for a second.  Even got some tongue.  We had a great time, the kids had fun.  I don't have many photos from the day because I let David use my camera (he got some great photos, too).  Donna took this one and I have a few others she took of us clowning around.  What can I say?  Outings are a blast when I'm involved!
