Love This

Today was a busy day for me, which is good.  Woke up and went out to the farm this morning to feed and let the animals out.  That was kind of fun.  Got to play around with my little buddy some...he's not so little any more.  He's gotta be close to 300 pounds by now.  It's cool because I can be rough with him and it won't hurt him.  He is definitely not worried about hurting me.  TJ used my back to get his rub on for a good five minutes.  Love that old fart.  The triplets (baby piggies) let met pet them today without spazing out.  Sweet potato tried to run me over to get out the field with the goats.  Sadly, I found one of our baby turkeys dead in the straw.  Poor little guy.

After I got home from the barn, dad got in from work.  He took an early day to get ready for a party out at the farm this evening.  We had a great Bojangles lunch and watched Young Frankenstein together.  Classic.  Then it was off to that dreaded place, the Carteret County Mall and Shopping Complex...a.k.a. Super Wal-Mart.  Had to get groceries so, that was my excuse.  Traffic is getting stupid.  It's like the more tourists that show up, the lower the IQ level on the roads drops.

Drove in to work for my 5:00 shift and there were six other guys there working the kitchen.  That's right, that made me number seven.  In this case, not a lucky number.  After about an hour, the manager looked at me and was like, "I'm probably going to send you home soon.  We have too many people on."  Well, that's not my fault, I didn't FUBAR the schedule, you did!  So about 45 minutes later, she was telling me to clock out and burn the road up.  I wasn't too pleased.  Since there was a party out at the farm, I decided to drive to the beach...but this time I took the long way.  I drove to Emerald Isle, and believe it or not, I had not been over that way since I returned to NC.  It was just as nice as I remembered it.  Parked at the pier and walked the beach for about thirty minutes.  Took this super-sweet selfie:

Met dad, mom and Amber up for dinner afterwards.  We ended up at the restaurant I work at so when I came walking in, everyone was like, "Didn't you just leave?"  It was funny but also kind of annoying.  Bumper's was our server, she did an excellent job putting up with me and my family.  Thanks Bumpers!  Dad and mom walked in and asked the host to be sat in "the Alpaca Girl's section".  Classic mom and dad.

After dinner, Amber's plans fell through and she decided to hang with me and watch a movie.  We watched Fist Fight with Ice T and Charlie Day.  Not a bad way to spend 90 minutes.  Very vulgar movie but it had it's funny moments.  Amber decided to crash here and now I'm typing this up while chatting with a new friend.  Pretty sweet, he seems like a good guy.

In the morning I need to take my car to the dealership to get it checked out.  There is a loose belt or something making an intensely high-pitched noise.  Obviously that can't be a good thing.  Maybe I'll get to work my entire shift tomorrow night.  Ooooh, and it's a flea market day!  Can't wait...Later Days!
