Exhausted...

Thanks to my blogging buddy (<--click to see her awesome blog), I only got four hours of sleep last night.  Totally blaming you.  I know, I'm grown enough to tell someone, "Hey, I love talking to you but I have to be up early in the morning and I have to work all day."  But, it's pass-the-buck Friday so...considered it passed to you.

Amber's car was leaking oil worse than an Exxon rigger captained by Edward J. Smith in the frigid North Atlantic.  Add ten cool points if you know who Edward J. Smith is.  Subtract five cool points if you went and Googled his name.  So, they dropped the car off last night at the dealership and let sis take one of the trucks so she could get Oinkers to day care and then get to work.  Dad took the other truck into work this morning so that meant mom didn't have a way to get to the farm.  Being the super-awesome son that I am (that was number 6 on the survey), I woke up at 6:30 to drive her out there.  That's 6:30 a.m.  Or 0630.  Or four-and-a-half hours after last call at the O-Club.  Or nine-and-a-half hours before happy hour at the O-Club.  Either way, it's pretty darn early for me.  For those of you that were not doing the math, I didn't get to sleep until 2:00 a.m.

Swung into Food Lion on the way home to get cinnamon rolls and two double shot espressos.  I downed one double shot and then made a pot of coffee at the house.  I decided to cowboy-up and not go back to sleep.  Looking back at that decision...it was probably the wrong one to make.  I started working on Oinker's gift and I nearly finished it.  Maybe another thirty minutes tomorrow and it's good to go.

Had to go into work at noon today.  What an insane day.  I worked ten hours straight with only a ten minute break.  Lunch was a working lunch for me...thankfully I thought to bring the left-over pizza from last night or else I probably would have starved.  I worked until about 9:45...got home, showered, made some soup for dinner and now I'm typing.  For you.  Yup, even though you flipped me the bird four times tonight for no apparent reason (you were clearly flirting with me).

As soon as my battery is charged, I'm going to bed but it looks like it will be a while longer.  Tomorrow is wide open for me...Flea Market for sure in the morning and then, well, who knows.  Later Days!

  1. If I recall correctly it was 5 times, not four, the fifth was a hidden one!
