Throw Back Thursday

I literally don't have anything to say tonight but I need to keep the streak alive.  A friend suggested that I write my thoughts and feelings.  *scoff*  I'm a man.  Manly men such as myself don't have feelings (this is the part where you forget about the last two blog posts).  I did experience a little envy today, but it didn't last very long.  Want to know what it was?  Some friends of mine were going to the beach and I can't go.  Boy, that sounds petty.

My neighbor is remodeling his kitchen and needed my help moving a piece of granite this morning.  The inside looks amazing since the last time I saw it two weeks ago.  Then after lunch, mom needed my help getting Caramel the calf into the horse trailer.  She drove him to the vets to get castrated.  If I would have known that, I would have set him free instead of load him into the vehicle that would carry him to the snippers.  I hope he is still my friend after all of this.

Work was a little crazy.  It wasn't very busy but our dish washer didn't show up so it left us short handed for the evening.  Sadly, I think this is he second time not showing up this week and he will probably be fired.

Oh, I forgot to mention that on my jog yesterday, I turned down this road in a subdivision thinking that it looped back out to the entrance where I came in at.  It didn't, it was just a culdesac with a circle at the end of it.  When I got to the end of the cludesac, there was this little boy on his bike.  He had on this huge motorcross helmet on his little head and it was just hilarious looking.  I'm trying my hardest to just avoid this little butt-head but he cut me off to the point I had to literally dodge him.  Then, he raced around the little loop and came right at me in a game of chicken.  I again had to dodge him, effectively making me the chicken.  Honestly, it was hard losing a game of chicken to a boy on a bike wearing a ridiculously large helmet...at least I'll have something to talk to my therapist about next week.

Okay, a special Throw Back Thursday treat.  I'm going to repost something from my old blog that I use to have back in college along with some throw back photos.  Enjoy and Later Days!

Sadly, I don't have a date for this post but it was probably April 2005.
So, today (well, really yesterday because it's 3 am) was the worst day I've had down here by far. Kevin and I went to a nursing home to volunteer. When we got there, we were assigned to paint a room. So, all they gave us was two cans of paint, two brushes, two rollers and paint pans. No tarp for the carpet, no tape for the light switches and nothing to stir the paint with. So, we each grab a bucket and start twisting them to mix the paint. Well, some genius left the lid to mine cracked and when I twisted it, it got all over the carpet and my sandles. We tried cleaning it up with paper towels but that didn't work. So, before we leave, we find a note that says, "Be careful not to get any paint on the carpet, it is brand new." HOLY MOTHER OF JESUS!!!! So, now me and Kevin are going back to finish painting and to try and get the paint out of the carpet. So, we get back to the dorm and I have an online exam due today so I sign in to do it. However, it will not let me sign in and my teacher was not at school because it is Saturday!!! She did not reply to my email so I don't know if she will let me take the exam or if I get a zero on it. And, to top it all off, TODAY WAS FREEZING COLD! IT WAS LIKE 65 DEGREES TODAY! ARGH!!! Well, it is now 03:09 so I better get back to my English paper. Post after exams and let you know how the carpet thing turns out....

  1. Super anxious to know if the paint came out of the carpet and what came of that exam. Plus, super proud that you wrote about your thoughts and feelings even if it was just one feeling. Feels good doesn't it?
